Courses in Norway

A course of 18 holes, par 71, located in Hakadal in Nittedal municipality in Akershus county. The first nine holes opened on 30 July 2005 and the next in August 2006; the course lies in the valley with good sun conditions and forested hills as a backdrop.

Ålesund Golfklubb operates Solnør Gaard Golfbane, an idyllic and challenging 18-hole course (par 72) in Skodje just outside Ålesund, regarded by many as one of the best courses between Trondheim and Bergen. In addition, the club runs Moa Golfsenter, a city-close recruitment and training facility with a 6-hole course, driving range and short-game area at Moa in Ålesund.

Alta Golfklubb operates Alta Golfpark at Kvenvikmoen, about 10 minutes from central Alta in Finnmark. The facility has a 9-hole course with four different tees per hole (par 72), a 6-hole short course, a driving range and putting green, as well as an activity park with mini golf, footgolf and disc golf.

Arendal og Omegn Golfklubb is located at Nes Verk in Tvedestrand municipality and has a high-standard 18-hole main course as well as a 9-hole par-3 Pay & Play course. The club was founded in 1986, and the course was fully built out in 1994.

Asker Golfklubb was founded on 4 June 1992, and the 18-hole course (par 70) was laid out from the spring of 1993 to designs by golf course architect Peter Chamberlain. The course is located in Asker municipality in Akershus.

Askim Golfklubb has a 9-hole golf course in Askim in Indre Østfold, with three tees (48/39/32) that provide variety across rounds. The club has a driving range, practice area, pro shop and simulators, and offers both memberships and guest play.

Atlungstad Golfklubb operates an 18-hole parkland course in Ottestad (Stange municipality), designed by Dave Thomas Ltd. The first 9 holes opened in 2006, and the full 18-hole course was completed in 2007. The course lies in a cultural landscape sloping down towards Mjøsa, with Atlungstad Brenneri as a landmark, and also has a 6-hole short course from 2015.

Austrått Golfklubb opened its 9-hole golf course in 2008, beautifully located in the historic Austrått area in Ørland municipality in Trøndelag, with forest on several sides and views of the Trondheimsfjord. The course is par 70 and has an almost seaside character.

Bærum Golfklubb is located in Lommedalen about 25 minutes from Oslo, and has an 18-hole main course (par 71) in scenic surroundings as well as a 9-hole short course with par-3 holes. The club has year-round activity with a simulator centre and practice area.

Ballerud Golf is a 9-hole par-3 facility (parkland course, approx. 966 metres) in Høvik/Bærum, only ten minutes from Oslo. The club specialises in practice and short game, with a large driving range and short course with fast greens.

Bamble Golfpark lies in scenic surroundings on the 'sunny coast' of Telemark. The 9-hole course winds between old smooth rocks and forest in beautiful coastal nature, and offers challenges for players of all levels.

Bergen Golfklubb is Bergen's first golf club, founded in 1937 and the third oldest in the country. The club is based at Åstveit in Øvre Ervik with a 9-hole course, par 68, in idyllic and partly narrow surroundings near the city centre.

Bjaavann golfklubb has an 18-hole course in Kristiansand designed by golf architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., who himself gave the course the name «The Norwegian Beauty». The course has 6 tees to choose from and water in play on most holes.

Bjørnefjorden Golfklubb («The Golf Gem of Bjørnafjorden») operates a 9-hole course, par 68, in Os in Bjørnafjorden municipality in Vestland, with tee shots overlooking the fjord, mountains and Folgefonna.

Bodø Golfklubb is located at Ilstad near Tverlandet, about 19 km from central Bodø. The course was laid out in 2005 as a 9-hole course, and from 2020 new tees have been set up so that it is played as 18 holes (par 72) on 9 greens.

Borre Golfklubb has an 18-hole parkland/woodland course by Borrevannet in Horten, designed by Tommy Nordström and opened in 1990. The course is known for its many plateau greens and is described as fairly open in play.

Borregaard Golfklubb is Norway's second-oldest golf club, founded in 1927 and turning 100 in 2027, with a 9-hole parkland course centrally located in Sarpsborg along the Glomma. The course has three tees (34/39/43) and suits all skill levels.

Byneset Golfklubb was founded on 31.01.1995 and operates a 27-hole facility in Trondheim, consisting of Byneset North (18 holes, par 72) and Byneset South (9 holes, par 64), as well as a Trackman Range, driving range, golf simulator and training studio.

A park/woodland course of 18 holes, par 71, located in Drammen municipality in Buskerud (Skoger). The club was founded in 1989, and the course is described as varied and hilly.

Drøbak Golfklubb is an 18-hole parkland course with par 70, a short drive from Oslo. The club was founded on 31 October 1988, and the course opened in June 1992. The course is known for being relatively short but still challenging, and the club today has over 2000 members.

Egersund Golfklubb operates Maurholen golfpark near Hellvik, about 10 km north of Egersund, a 9-hole course (par 70) set in typical Dalane nature with heather moorland and small, bare hills. The course opened in 2006, and the club celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2026.

Eiker Golfklubb is located in Mjøndalen in Drammen municipality and operates a 9-hole park/woodland course (Portåsen) with par 68. The course was designed by Tore Fjeld Olsen, opened on 16 August 2014, and received grass tees on all holes after an upgrade in 2020.

Ekholtbruket Golfklubb has a 6-hole course in Moss. With two different tees on the first three holes («Short-Long-Short» / «Long-Short-Long»), it offers a full, handicap-counting 9-hole round.

Elverum Golfklubb operates an 18-hole forest course at Starmoen in Elverum, Innlandet. The first 9 holes were completed in 1988, and the full 18-hole course was finished in September 1991. The club was re-established on 29 October 1993 as a continuation of Hedmark Golfklubb.
